Can you just have a TV and no monitor on your computer.Is replacing the monitor with a big TV a real option?

You might be able to have just a TV connected, however, you probably would need to set your BIOS to NOT error if it doesn't detect a monitor. You also have to have a graphics card that support TV/S video output and a TV that supports this type input.The problem with using a standard TV is the resolution which is very low compared to a monitor. There are monitor/TVs that do provide computer VGA or RGB/Sync input but they are very expensive. The large LCD TVs usually have these inputs.

The resolution of TV out is way below what you get on a good computer monitor..It runs fine as a way of showing off FS to an audience, but you do not get the detail you need to read the panel, or even the drop down menus..!
