Featured Replies

I would think either 1024x788 or 1280x960 depending in the monitor capabillty and performance (my choice is 1024x768). Any 17" monitor runs well at 1024x768 and most of the newer models will do an equally good job at 1280x960. Try them both and pick whichever suits you.Doug

I am using 1024x768 @ 85Hz on my 17" monitor. I think this is optimal for a 17" monitor and theres no annoying flicker.

is it a flat panel or CRT, try 1280x1024, it has the same preportions as 1024x768 only with greater quality. for CRTs 85Hz is fine, for FPs, 60Hz is perfect
