January 2, 200422 yr I'm quite happy with the 52.16 drivers for my Ti4200 card, but wondering if anyone has found the newest 53.03 drivers to fix any problems or improve either performance or visuals.. Having limped along with various "black screen" problems in FS9 until the 52.16s were released, I'm hesitant to experiment unless there is a clear benefit to changing.. Bert
January 2, 200422 yr Hello,I did install and run the 53.03 StarStorm (www.guru3d.com) coming from the 52.16.I have the feeling there is a "bit" more with these drivers, I had no negative results;Have a Happy New Year Emile EBBR Z590 Aorus Elite, i9-11900K 3.5Ghz Nvidia RTX 5070, 32 GB Mem, SSD 3 Tera , 3 monitors Win11 Pro X64 LM P3D V6.1 Little Nav Map Hifisim Nvidia 591.44
January 2, 200422 yr For your Ti 4200, forget all these new drivers, go get the the 30.82, those are some of the best, for performance and image quality.
January 2, 200422 yr Author Kurt, I agree, the 30.82s were the best drivers ever, but the 52.16s work great with FS9 and allow me to set AA and AF without having to use Rivatuner. The only problem that remains is kneepad scrolling when using 2XAA.. Bert
January 2, 200422 yr The 30.82's work great with FS9 as well, a little hard to believe they are old, but no meny problems at all, I can set AA and AF just fine without using Rivatuner??

The only problem that>remains is kneepad scrolling when using 2XAA..I agree. The 30.82 worked great with my old Geforce 2 but probably aren't the best for FS9 due to the black screen problem. Get the latest 40 series for your Geforce 4 card. The 53.03 are the first Geforce FX drivers that are truly DirectX 9 compatible which is the main difference. I've heard that the 52.16 drivers can't make full use of all DX9's features. I really noticed no difference when I upgraded from 52.16 to 53.03 but they probably will come in handy as new versions of DirectX 9 are released. It's a good idea to keep all your drivers fully updated with the current versions.
January 4, 200422 yr >There is NO black screen problem in FS9 with the 30.82'sWell there you go. I just assumed that because of Microsofts tech briefs which stated anything below the 45 drivers would cause problems. Use these then for your MX and TI cards.
