September 2, 200421 yr Author Thanks, I guess there's no problems with drivers for these graphic cards in relation to FS9 (because when I bought my Radeon 9800 Pro I had to wait for many month to get the right driver).CheersLars
September 3, 200421 yr can't speak for the x800, but my 6800gt works fine in fs9. just make sure you have the latest drivers from nvidia.
September 3, 200421 yr Author Anybody have some experience with drivers for Radeon X800 Pro in relation to FS9?CheersLars
September 4, 200421 yr ATI has cleaned up their act with the drivers over the past year .. Driver updates are being released every month...4.8 and 4.9 betas have proven to be the most stable D3D drivers so far and 4.9beta shines as giving a nice frame rate boost to Doom3.. No problems on the drivers front for the two manuafacturers in my opinionFor a forum where you can compare and contrast type guru of 3d in yahoo and go to their forums and look for the respective drivers forums for the manufacturers..Hope this helps AMD Ryzen 9800X3D/ Asus ROG Strix B650E F Gaming WiFi / Asrock Taichi 9070XT / 32GB G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo DDR5 6000 / 2x ADATA XPG 8200 Pro NVME / Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280 / Seasonic Vertex 1000w PSU / Lian Li LanCool II Mesh Performance / Asus VG34VQL3A / Topping E70 Velvet DAC & L70 Amp /Sennheiser HD660s2 Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke + TCA Sidestick + TFRP Rudders
September 9, 200421 yr I am running FS9 with X800 pro, runs smooth as silk. Using latest driver release 4.8. I am having a few issues with java apps in internet explorer, but other than that, this card is very fast, but expensive. Remember, FS9 is a CPU hog more than a video card hog, don't expect as much of a frame rate jump in FS9 as you would see in other 3D sims(games), which can often double with the new generation video cards.
September 9, 200421 yr Author Thanks - I have ordered my X800 and I am looking forward to get it installed.Lars
September 14, 200421 yr Lars, why don't you just replace your current 9800, ATI warranties their product for three years (they send a free replacement usually).
September 14, 200421 yr Author My Radeon 9800 Pro crashed and I changed the cooling aggregate when I bought it a year ago. Because of this change my warranty is gone. That's why! Bad luck!Lars :+
