In defense of Emetrix, note that there were less than 2% failed orders, and almost 1/2 of those were due to insufficient funds. The others were due to other problems with the verification process and Emetrix is addressing each case individually for a resolution. So far all indication is that it had nothing to do with Emetrix but rather user input error or credit card problems. The email problems were strange, but there were only TWO cases of that. They are still looking into this as well.Emetrix has actually done VERY WELL here. Howdy Damien!First, let me tell you that I purchased your fine work from SimFlight last night on the first try, inputting the exact same info I had input to emetrix the previous day about a dozen times, each time trying to correct whatever error emetrix was detecting.Last night, after trying out A.S. which I had successfully purchased through the simflight site, I received an email from emetrix stating that they saw I had been trying to purchase your product through them and that if I emailed them (emetrix) back, they would help me resolve the problem.I replied "Thanks, but I got it from simflight, sorry we couldn't do business, etc.".They replied with a basic "roger that, maybe next time". During my attempts to purchase through emetrix, I NEVER got to an order confirmation page, in fact, each time I tried to purchase through them, I got the error message about my information.End of story, right?Today I received an email from emetrix that my order was confirmed and they sent me the billing info and a download link. I immediately replied back in the negative, no, do not charge me, I got ActiveSky somewhere else, etc, etc. I got a further reply from them that, OK, they'll cancel the purchase and credit my account, etc.Long story short, you said: "So far all indication is that it had nothing to do with Emetrix but rather user input error or credit card problems.". I don't know what emetrix has been telling you, but there is/was absolutely nothing wrong with my credit card or info, it's all on them. The proof of that is that I used the same data to purchase from simflight, etc etc.I'm a little worried that an order that was rejected for whatever reason comes back OK the next day. I would think a rejected order would remain rejected until some sort of communication was exchanged. The only communication I had was to tell emetrix to forget it, etc.I am happy with ActiveSky, no problem there, but I am now expecting to get about a dozen "order confirmations" from emetrix from my previous failed attempts to purchase through them.A little long winded here, sorry, hope this all makes sense.Great job on your end Damien, keep at it!BC

Hi,Thanks for the info here... I will forward this to Emetrix as well to have them look at it and let me know why it failed, and then try to get it resolved from there. Don't worry about any billing errors, if there is any problem just contact me directly ([email protected]) and I will handle it personally for you. Sorry for the problems, and thanks for your kind words about the product! Glad you are enjoying it..-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table

Hi again,See this from Emetrix concerning your order problems, let me know if this sounds like what happened? If you are interested in the CD let me know... Thanks! -DamianHello Damian,Thanks for your message. I looked into our logs, and found that the userwas trying to submit this as his phone number:1 XXX 1234567 [ edit: XXX for privacy ]....which is an invalid phone number. After a high velocity of ordersattempts with invalid information, the order error began to simply promptthe customer to contact us to assist him.We contacted him later and in a bit of confusion, one of our support guysthought that he wanted the order processed. Of course, since he hadpurchased elsewhere, we cancelled and refunded that order (with yourpermission).Anyway, we are indeed sorry for the inconvenience we caused for XXXXX [edit]and hopefully expressed that to him in our emails to him... If we can dosomething to make it up to him (e.g. send him a copy of your product on CDROM at our cost) we would be happy to do so. Let me know what you think.Anyway, I am keeping a close eye on things, and so far today there havebeen two people that have had problems. I have contacted both of them andtold them what the problem is, how to correct it, and to submit again. Howdy Damien!Tell the Lads, thanks, but no thanks. I appreciate the offer of the CD, but it isn't necessary, I have the download backed up already.I get the phone number thingie, and I admit I put in the 1234567 as my number on the initial try. When it got kicked for erroneous data, I put in the correct number, but that didn't help. I figured I eliminated that as the problem so on subsequent attempts...I receive a TON of unsolicited phone calls throughout the day, so I attempt to avoid giving out my number whenever possible. As this is an internet transaction, I see no need to disclose my telephone number. OK, rules are rules...By the way, guess what number I gave to SimMarket?Once again, tell emetrix thanks for the offer, but it isn't necesary. And thanks for your overtime work Damien!BC

Damian,Looks like I am not the only one having problem with e-metrix. I too, tried atleast 3x to enter the data into their secure page, but to no avail. Always comes back with in invalid address or something. Finally, I gave up and switched to Regnow and entered the exact same info and it worked the first time. Also, I have purchased from Flightsim before many times and it worked nicely every time.Joe
