January 1, 200323 yr It's cloudy here and about to snow.Active sky is reporting clear skies?? The actual reporting station is 10 minutes from me. What gives.I have fsuipc 2.95 and have set it up according to the Active sky manual.Lets just assume that the airport here is reporting old weather. Isn't there backup reporting in place?
January 2, 200323 yr I'd wait for someone who knows to reply, but I had this problem and the solution was to make sure I had the time right. If you have use system time checked in the ASwxRE config, make sure FS is also using system time. If you leave the system time unchecked, then ASwxRE is using FS time, then make sure the time in FS is close to the metar data that you've downloaded. If either of these conditions are not met, and you have TAF processing checked, ASwxRE will predict the weather, and this will be different than what you see out the window. I still think there are some issues with time calculation in ASwxRE. For instance, the cycle that is downloaded does not seem to correlate with zulu time for me. I'm not sure if that's a server problem or what. Also, several big airports are often missing from the METAR data - KPHL, KEWR. If i manually choose the cycle to download, things work better. Any input?sg [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
