ATIS and FSS inconsistancies

Featured Replies

Within the last week I purchased ActiveSkywxRE (I love it) and have set it up as instructed, including copying over the fsuipc.ini file. I have noticed that the data giben to me on 122.00 is different than that provided on ATIS. I have checked this at a variety of stations (KJFJ, KART, KFZY, KROC as I want to see how the low viz and precip is modelded) For example KROC ATIS 124.82 20150Z 24912 4SM 1/M1 2982 KROC FSS 122.0 21954Z 29013G23 6SM -SN BR BKN013 BKN080 OVC200 1/M1 2984 I am running ActiveSky 1.1, FSUIPC 2.96, and ActiveSky is running on a host system using WideFS (properly working)What do I need to change? Hi Kevin,Have you waited 5 minutes for the wx to transition? It sounds like things are 'closing in' on the target but not quite there yet. Depending on your transition settings it can some time. By default it should take about 5 minutes for all wind, vis, cloud, pressure and other settings to take effect. This is by design. Also, do you have the latest 1.97 ADVDISP (if you use it) ? Damian, Thanks I think that I needed to wait a few minutes. KevinBTW I love this program :) I just started using the Bush Flying Scenery for Alaska and it is surreal to see the clouds hang over the mountain tops. Keep up the good work!
