February 23, 200323 yr Commercial Member Hi all,If you have had any problems with wxRE not updating weather (including winds aloft and aloft/surface transitions) properly, FSUIPC v2.972 is confirmed to solve this. Please download the latest FSUIPC by Peter Dowson from http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html.Thanks Peter!!-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
February 23, 200323 yr Hi Damian,I assume the settings as described in the manual (based on 2.94) still apply, even for 2.972?Thx.Gideon
February 23, 200323 yr Damian,I recognized a "well known" behaviour of weather settings taken at Munich, Germany: the current station should have been 'EDDM' instead of 'ETSE', which was prefered by wxRE.Could you please fix it in 1.60?
February 24, 200323 yr Author Commercial Member Yes..-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
February 24, 200323 yr Author Commercial Member Hi,Can you please try deleting the ETSE entry in icao.txt and see if this works as you now expect? Is the problem that ETSE is incorrectly listed as closer than EDDM when it is not? -Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
February 24, 200323 yr That's correct.'ETSE' is a small military airfield near Munich and is declared with a distance of 7nm, 'EDDM' is shown as a distance of 13nm :-hmmmAfter deleting 'ETSE' in the icao.txt, EDDM will be shown properly.
February 24, 200323 yr Author Commercial Member Hi Chris..Thanks for the info. It looks like the lat/lons are a little off for these airports.. If you get a moment can you send me the correct lat/lon for EDDM and ETSE? I will fix for the update. Thank you very much!-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
February 24, 200323 yr Surely...I've taken these values from "FSNavigator" and compared it to the values of "SCC".Here we are:EDDM -> N48

March 3, 200323 yr Author Commercial Member Hi are you using VATSIM downloads? If so, there is a known problem here - fix due very soon. You can temporarily uncheck the VATSIM option and use NOAA wx, which rarely differs from VATSIM.-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
