Help with AdvDisplay settings with Activesky

Featured Replies

I ahve read that there needs to be a certain setting for AdvDisplay to avoid communicaton problems with Activesky and FSUIPC. What are they other than just disabling AdvDisplay altogether? I am running the latest version of AdvDisplay right now but when it is activated, I don't get the winds as reported by Activesky v1.8 until I disable AdvDisplay. I use the online option of Activesky and fly online as well and hate seeing that stupid scrolling text. Any help would be welcome.

Eric,The winds problem is a known issue and, as you found, the only known fix is to disable ADVDISPLAY. Sorry, but I can't help you on the scrolling text issue. I'm sure someone else will come along with an answer.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

Hi,You can check "Disable text messages" to not see any text.. you can also change to "Single-line" instead of "Continuous/Scrolling" (FS options).ADVDISP - Some users have had success getting it to work by using various combinations of options (lock/dock), unfortunately there was no confirmed fix-all solution and this only works on some systems, so the best bet is to experiment. Also make sure you do have the LATEST version of ADVDISP and FSUIPC. Hope that helps!-Damian
