May 22, 200323 yr I posted this a while ago, but didn't get any feedback, so I thought I'd give it another go.I'm not familiar with what is possible with FS and FSUIPC, so if this won't work, please let me know.I'm a fan of historical weather. I enjoy downloading metars when the big blizzard comes up the east coast, or there's a tornado outbreak in the midwest, etc. and loading them up at a later date to experience those conditions again. I like flying in a good snowstorm in august. 1.) I'd like Active sky to download metars with a date appended to the filename such as 220503-20z.wrx instead of just time to make archival of weather data a no brainer.2.) Is it possible to use FSUIPC to automatically set the time/date/season in FS based in the cycle/date of the METAR that I choose to load? This is an aspect of real-world situational flying that remains untapped - historic weather. wxRE has the potential of becoming such a utility, imo.Let me know what your thoughts are.sg [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
