August 10, 200322 yr When passing through a new wx layer in FS2004, the TAT sometimes changes quite abruptly when compared to the old wx layer - at times in excess of 5 - 10 degress. This happens either in climb/descent or when processing a new wx station. When this happens I get sudden and abrupt speed increases/decreases.Does anyone know of any settings I can change in FS2004 that will cure this problem. It occurs for me in both AS WXRE 1.9 and FSMETEO v6.01, so I think it is more likely to be an FS2004 issue.Any help greatly appreciated.
August 12, 200322 yr Commercial Member Hi Mark,This is an FS2004 issue - and it happens even with the default real weather...Clearing all weather before loading wxRE will help a bit, but it can still happen. The wind also does this. FS2004 has some kind of new interpolation/smoothing process that many of us (Pete Dowson and other add-on developers) are still trying to figure out. I am confident we will come up with a good solution in time... for now I will let you all know any new developments/findings as they come up...-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
August 12, 200322 yr Hi Damian, thanks for the reply - thought it was another MS induced problem.2nd Q - are you planning on inviting the beta testers for v1 back to test out v2.Cheers.
August 13, 200322 yr I have found something similar to this but with the baromertic pressure. I have seen many fluctuation from center, to departure , approach, tower. The changes are not much (0.01-0.03 mmHg)I am using FS COF and ActiveSky 1.9 and the registered version of FSUIPC.Kevin -.- . ...- .. -.
