Hello DamianI just want you to know that I stayed up pretty much all night read your manuals for AS2004. Finally getting it configured and trying it out, I was amazed. You deserved 2 thumbs up for what you acheive. I flew the Cessna 310 from Miami to Jacksonville, FL. AS2004 displayed the scattered towering thunderstorms around the airport and the higher cirrus clouds above. During the climb as I got closer the to storm clouds the plane rock and rolled. This has never happen before with the other weather generators. I felt like a real pilot. The turbulance was awesome, even when I was 1000ft above them. There was no pop up clouds during the whole flts. Transitions were smooth. It was a great experiance.I wish there were some documentation around explaining how to setup a second computer, that way I can turn it up to full power and see what It can do.Money weel spentBill M

Hey Bill, can you give me a brief rundown on how you are set up? AS seems to work ok, but performance has but terrible in several situations. Are u using 32bit cloud textures from FSW? If not, what are your basic settings? I have been able to run FS9 pretty much full tilt, but find now with AS perf dives to terrible, and that is with cloud density slider all the way to medium or even low.Noel

Glad you like it Bill. Damian and the team worked hard to achieve what AS2004 is today. "Makes you feel like a real pilot" - I know where you are coming from there, I am a real pilot and even I find it amazing that the weather conditions replicated on the screen by AS2004 are so accurate (as accurate as can be at this time). Now people, who don't fly for real, can experience what I and other real life pilots do.Enjoy your flights and weather Bill.regards,David

Noel,Give the FSW 32 bit clouds a try.I have a P4 2.8 GHz, 512 Mb RAM and an ATI 9700 Pro and using the FSW clouds I get minimal performance hits and the clouds still look great with AS2004.
