December 21, 200322 yr Wilson,Go into your Modules folder and double check your FSUIPC version. If it is 3.125 or 3.128 please update. If it is a later version delete the FSUIPC.ini file and let FSUIPC rebuild it. Let us know!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support
December 21, 200322 yr Jim:Thanks for the quick reply. Don't you guys take any time off???No luck. I am still showing DGTK as the Nearest Station, and no returns to match what I see outside at the site.I am using FSUIPC version 3.135. I did delete the .ini file and confirmed that it was generated properly. This is really odd . . .Wilson
December 21, 200322 yr P.S.I just did a complete reinstall. No change. ActiveRadar still thinks that I am sitting at DGTK.Wilson
December 22, 200322 yr I can confirm this as a problem with me too. I had radar returns for the first 3 flights and then nothing - completely blank screen. I have registered versions of FSUIPC/WideFS, have deleted the FSUIPC INI file and the version is the latest.Position myself to an airfield with rain but blank weather radar.Ray Keattch.
December 22, 200322 yr Ooops!Sorry, forgot to mention that it is a simple one computer system. No partitioned drives. Everything is fairly "plain vanilla".Wilson
December 22, 200322 yr Wilson,By any chance did you ever have Weather Center installed on your system?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support
December 22, 200322 yr Network is running great. 2nd PC is setup with WideFs, Voice and AS2004 only. It is strange that I had radar for the first few flights and then nothing.Ray Keattch
December 22, 200322 yr Jim,Yes I did. However, I did a standard uninstall and then did a file search to delete any remaining files and folders. Shame that Weather Center did such a dirty uninstall.I thought about this too, but I now see no evidence of Weather Center anywhere.Do I need to do a search in the registry or a cfg or ini file somewhere, or do you know of some files I might have missed? Thanks for the continued support,Wilson
December 22, 200322 yr Commercial Member Hi Wilson,This means that the FSUIPC interface isn't working. The LAT/LON from FS is being reported as 0/0 and thus closest station DGTK. And thus why no radar returns. As to why the interface isn't working.. this is strange. We did have a case with a beta user who was positive that the latest FSUIPC was installed, but in fact it was 3.128, with this very same known bug, had been installed by another 3rd party add-on. Please triple-check this version, found in FSUIPC options screen. Sorry to be reduntant on this check, but it has caused many headaches in the past - just want to make SURE we are not using FSUIPC 3.128.Are you using the registered or unregistered FSUIPC?Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
December 22, 200322 yr Ray,You also need to re-check your FSUIPC version. Sorry for the extra checking!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support
December 23, 200322 yr Yes, latest FSUIPC is installed - checked OK but still downloaded from Petes site again to make sure.Ray Keattch
December 27, 200322 yr Damien:Thanks for the detective work. It sounds like you have isolated the problem.I confirmed that I am using FSUIPC v3.135, dated 12/18/2003. After reading your post, I went to Peter's site and downloaded it again and reinstalled.Still getting the same results -- ActiveRadar thinks that I am sitting at DGTK.Any other suggestions that I can try?Wilson
December 27, 200322 yr Commercial Member Hi,Best thing to do is make a log via FSUIPC (weather and misc items), start activeradar, let it run for a few minutes, then stop and send the log to me. After reviewing, I'll forward it to Peter, as this is obviously an FSUIPC/WideFS communications issue, nothing to do with AS2004 or ActiveRadar... Thanks!Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
