Will MR1 include a threshold which prevents the setting of icing conditions to severe? This is obviously causing alot of problems for those with 3rd party panels due to an FS9 bug.

Hi,1.0 already prevents setting of icing to severe. It only uses level 1, the lightest possible, which can STILL cause problems on certain panels, which is an FS9 bug (using CTRL-H solves it). Damian; How is flight "through a thunderstorm" detected in AS2004? Is any flight in-cloud in an area of T-storms going to trigger severe icing? FS9 will drop your airspeed to zero even in light icing if the pitot heat is left off...a legitimate effect IMHO. It's the effects when icing level goes to 5 that are problematic, as it appears FS9 will kill the airspeed input regardless of the A/I settings in severe icing.
