January 21, 200422 yr Dear AllAre you sitting comfortably? Then I shall begin.......I had FS2k2 with an Nvidia GForce3Ti200 for a couple of years.I then purchased Activesky 1.91. When I ran it with FS2k2, the auto throttle started to accelerate & contined to accelerate until I manually stopped it. This happened in various locations, with various aircraft, at various altitudes, in different weather, and the pitot heat was switched on. With the FS2k2 default weather, the auto throttle worked ok. I upgraded to wxRE 1.92 with FS2k2 - same problem.I upgraded to FS9 with wxRE 1.92 - same problem.I upgraded to a Radeon 9600 XT with CAT 3.1 with wxRE 1.92 - same problem.Although I seem to have the same problems as most other people - sudden wind changes, rain at high altitudes & disappearing clouds, my major problem is the auto throttle. As I don't fly the stock planes, the only plane that seems unaffected is the Project Airbus A320 with Eric Marciano's panel, and I'm unable to figure out what's different about it. I have recently read a previous posting from Babewatcher (Dec 19 2003), and my problem seems to be the same, but it was unresolved. A further posting on Dec 20, suggested that the CAT 3.1 driver was the cause - this can't be my problem as I had it with Nvidia also. So, has any one had any more thoughts on how to solve this?Any help would be gratefully received.Cheers Paull
January 22, 200422 yr Hi Paull,For the heck of it try with a default plane.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support
January 22, 200422 yr Thanks for the reply - Flew the default 737 & no problems.Does this mean that I can only fly defaults with Activesky wxRE 1.92 on?I couldn't find anything in your readmes about non default compatability, so apologies if I've missed something. CheersPaull

January 22, 200422 yr Commercial Member Hi Paull,It sounds like the pitot freezing, which as sort of an issue with FS9... I have heard that some panels don't seem to actually activate pitot heat unless you use CTRL-H to manually turn it on (the panel switch may not really be connected to the pitot system). It is also recommended to use DE-ICE as for some reason FS9 makes beter use of PITOT heat this way.In addition, if you have FSUIPC registered, there is a new option to limit ice which remove the possibility of encountering this "issue".Let us know if that helps.. thanks!-Damian Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
