February 25, 200422 yr Hi Jim,I nuked the AS2004.ini, installed MR1 and uplicated the settings I had in the alpha .ini, unfortunately, as soon as AS2004 refreshedPOPall clouds gone, clear :-(Same flight as with alpha, no FP loaded, here's the .iniSmall note: with no FP loaded, the aloft temps are realistic.//AS2004 configuration file[General]WindowPosX = 5160WindowPosY = 5205DefaultWeatherFolder = F:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9ModulesActiveSky2004SuppressionCeiling = 10000SurfaceWindLimit = 10CloudLayerLimit = 5LocalSuppressionRange = 50MinimumVisibility = 0MaximumVisibility = 50IncreasedWake = FalseDisableWindsAloft = FalseForceDestinationWeatherZone = FalsePreventIcing = TrueOnlineUpdates = TrueExtendedDestinationWindsForce = FalseGlobalWrites = TrueVoicePlayback = TrueLocalSuppression = TrueStartupSound = FalseUseProxyServer = FalseFogLayerGeneration = TrueUpdateSuppression = TrueOvercastEnhancement = TrueRouteWindSmoothing = TrueLimitSurfaceWinds = FalseLimitCloudLayers = FalseAutoGlobalWriteToggle = FalseCCWindsFix = TrueDisableUpperLayerGeneration = FalseVisibilitySmoothing = TrueDisableMessages = FalseAutoTimeZoneDetection = TrueUpdateInterval = 10VATSIMData = FalseZuluConversion = 1TAFProcessing = FalseEnforceVisibilityLimits = TrueWakeTurb = TrueStartPaused = FalseUseSystemTime = TrueDisableCAVOKClouds = FalseProxyAddress = NONEBest RegardsMax (Bern, LSZB)http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg
February 25, 200422 yr Would you say that your settings are the same?Make this false: EnforceVisibilityLimits = TrueHope this helps,JimActiveSky Support
February 25, 200422 yr Jim,Yes the settings that already existed in the alpha are all the same, I made sure I duplicated them all, just as they were in the alpha.I just turned off auto global toggle.I'll try the vis limits option you suggested, but I do think that build 81 broke something, at least for the areas I do most of my flying in.Best RegardsMax (Bern, LSZB)http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg
February 25, 200422 yr Commercial Member Hi Max,I found the problem... quite a strange one in that it was FS9 occasionally discarding all previously set wx when they "beyond force" write was done. This would clear all your localized wx. Anyhow, its fixed, look for B84 coming in a few hours :) Thanks for your reports and input on this..-Damian Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
February 25, 200422 yr DamianThanks for your continued efforts to improve as 2004! It is great to be a part of it! you did an awesome job on the winds aloft, by the way! never had any "flying into a brick wall" expierences with build 81 when a flight plan was load!Keep up the great work, I am looking forward to get my hands at the next build!Best RegardsMax (Bern, LSZB)http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg
