December 12, 200223 yr Any suggestions? The only one I found with the right resolution was the Logitech Express USB, but the reviewers didn't seem to like that cam too much.BTW, this will probably be its only function in life.
December 13, 200223 yr the cheapest one you can get. The resolution is adjustable within the cam software and the cam2pan software.I am in the US and I got mine at CompUSA for $19 USD CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K

December 13, 200223 yr Logitech works best for me..but what does this have to do with flight simming?
December 29, 200223 yr How well does the Cam2Pan software work? I'm thinking about picking up a cheap webcam and setting it up. I almost only use the virtual cockpit when flying so if it works well it would be very useful to me. -
December 30, 200223 yr Author I have yet to get Cam2Pan to find my Logitech Express.Can2Pan uses a VFW interface to find the camera. According to my reading, this interface doesn't exist anymore.I would really like to try the thing out but I am unable to.http://members.rogers.com/jkanold/jimlogo.gif
December 30, 200223 yr It's pretty good. I have the cheapest webcam (Logitech Express something or other) that came in a packet of Cornflakes and Cam2pan recognised it straight away, given that I had already installed its own software so it was recognised on my rig as hardware. What's more, I don't fly in a bright room; my "perceived" FPS for the camera is 8-9FPS but by forcing it to 30FPS (easily done using Cam2pan) it works fine. I don't stick that silly bit of paper on my forehead, either; I reckon my face is ugly enough to keep Cam2pan awake. It's a wee bit jerky occasionally, dependent on the aircraft, but it's easy to reset the view centrally using the space bar at any time.It takes some getting used to though. Every time I turn my head to pick up my beer I find myself inspecting wing rivets.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo2.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
