ActiveRadar Not Loading Flight Plans...

Featured Replies

Hi,I purchased ActiveSky2004 over the weekend and have not been able to load my flight plans into ActiveRadar. When I select the flight plan, the only thing that happens is that I get a message to do an update all in the bottom box. When I click the update all button the message goes away and that is it. I tried to manually enter the flight plan, but it appears that ActiveRadar will only allow me to insert airports (even if a click the VOR selection). I have installed the MR1 update and everything validated during the install, so I assume that the install worked correctly. I am running using WideFS and I generate my flight plans using FSBuild 2.2.I have a few other items that may be behaving strangely on the ActiveWeather side, but I want to do a bit more validating before I post them. Thanks!

Hi,FSBuild is writing FS2002 .PLN format, and at this time unfortunately ActiveRadar only supports FS2004 format. To get around this, open the .PLN in FS2004 and save it. Then you can properly load the plan via AR. Hope that helps!-DamianP.S. We are working on an update to ActiveRadar to support additional formats including FS2002.

Hi Damian,I tried saving the plan from FS2004 and now it loads, but the weather for each leg never gets updated. Also, I seem to now be having another problem which is being discused in the "Radar Not Working" thread.I think I will try and uninstall and re-install tonight or tomorrow morning to see if that clears up any of the oddities that I am seeing.
