April 11, 200422 yr Hello,I admire the features of your 2004 product, its just great. Though last days its not working as it should. I am currently running it via WideFS and everything is configured at both sides correctly. Thats not the case indeed, because its messing in my local PC as well. So, the problem is that it downloads weather nicely, says that writing data to FSUIPC and then Update Complete. But nothing happens in my FS, winds are still zero and no clouds appear. But then 2nd time I got nice rainy realistic weather again just as it should be. Then, again no action 3rd time when running FS. What could it be? Thanks!
April 12, 200422 yr Commercial Member Hi,Please see the FAQ (pinned topic on this forum) - there is an item about inconsistent wx depiction/failure of FS to accept wx changes. You basically need to reset the theme environment in FS by manually clearing wx. Also make sure if running Squawkbox or ATOC that you have real wx turned off in these apps (to avoid conflict with AS). Hope that helps!-Damian Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
April 24, 200422 yr Hello,Sorry for long delay. Actually I tried switching the theme to Clean and then activating the AS2004, but then it only applies new weather for about 5 secs and it goes back to clean. What should I do? Thanks!
April 24, 200422 yr Before starting AS2004:Modules -> FSUIPC -> Clear All WeatherIt's all in the manual. Regards, Radek
April 24, 200422 yr I tried it. Exactly the same problem! It makes the WX new with activesky, then after 5 secs it puts back to default. Then it puts to correct one and then back to 00000. And then it stays zeroed. Any ideas?
April 24, 200422 yr Are you running any other software besides AS and FS?JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
April 24, 200422 yr Example Squawkbox yes, but I disabled realistic weather from there... Also SBrelay, aibridge, WideFS and such usual things...
April 25, 200422 yr Try just AS and Wide FS and see if that helps.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
May 7, 200422 yr Tried now and nothing helps. Even directly from my PC it changes the weather but wrongly. What could be the damn thing? :)
May 7, 200422 yr Hi,I need to know all weather settings in FS including dynamic change and please post your AS2004.ini file.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
May 7, 200422 yr Hello,Dynamic change is set to Medium, weather is cleared and also cleared via FSUIPC. Cloud draw distance 50 miles, Maximum density and percent 90.
May 7, 200422 yr OK, thanks for all that. Here are some suggestions:In FS place dynamic change to NONE.In AS switch TAF Processing to OFF.In AS switch Global Writes to OFF.Please try these and let us know if things are different. This may or may not make a difference but change your cloud % to 100.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
May 8, 200422 yr Okay, thanks a lot!! I also made some changes regarding to the manual, including the dynamic to NONE and Global writes and TAF. First I tried on local PC and I got it working! Then I messed around with WideFS supported AS2004 and I got this also working. I tried switching TAF on and it didnt make anything worst so its on from now. I dont know whether Global writes or dynamic change messed me up, but no time for trying, plane is waiting for me!Thanks!
