Winds aloft status update

Hello all,We have received a few reports of invalid winds aloft values being depicted, either excessive wind speeds, zero wind and/or very low temps in AS2004.We have been tracking this since last week and after examining server logs, we have found a few intermittent data source problems that as of now appear to have cleared up.We are still trying to isolate the exact problem and develop a work-around for any future situation like this. We are also in the progress of upgrading our HiFi server system and incorporating more redundancy in data collection processes. The goal is to provide the most stable and fail-safe system possible. We hope you'll agree that despite the few issues we've seen since HiFi DataNet went up, the percentage of down-time is exceptionally low. Our continued development will help reduce potential problems even further, and also will improve resolution and coverage as new data sources and technologies become available.-Damian

Glad to hear you're aware of this problem. At my end, there's a weird phenomenon. While the main WXre (v.1.92) window shows the current fs airport with winds aloft info, when I fly higher, the winds aloft show 0/0/0.So it's not a server problem, but something internal to the program.Eytan
