September 6, 200421 yr Commercial Member Hi all,Since the latest build is working perfectly, I would like to ask if it is possible to add some new stations in Greece. Vatsim has already included them in their metars. These stations are LGIO, LGTG and LGST.Are there any specific things you need to know about these station in order to include them in your server or you can take the data directly from VATSIM metar?RegardsChris Chris Makris PLEASE NOTE PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at http://forum.pmdg.com
September 6, 200421 yr Commercial Member Hi Chris,These stations are not (yet) available via the world-wide data sources we currently use.I would imagine that VATSIM is using some localized source for such data. We would have to identify such source(s) and confirm that they are legal for such use to begin using them. We cannot take data from VATSIM for use on our servers. If a source is known by anyone, please advise and I will investigate. Thanks! Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
September 7, 200421 yr Author Commercial Member Hi Damian,Vatsim, as far as I know, takes the data for these airports from the Greek Meteorological Service. The link to the site is the followinghttp://www.hnms.gr/hnms/english/index_html?Go to currect data and from the weather Now, chek the station you want to see.The weather stations that we are interested areIoannina,Sitia, and Tanagra. February 28, 201016 yr Damian, Jim trying to revive here an old pending issue. All Greek METARs not widely available in NOAA etc. are gathered here with direct links to the web pages that contain them.http://hellasga.com/metars.htmlAny chance to get these METARs from the HNMS webpage and get them in to HiFi Sim database when they update ?I have the HTML code for it if you're not able to figure out how. We've been exchanging emails about it with Damian since 2004 ! and we always get told to wait for the next version when some database things will improve :( www.ogimet.com has managed to record them every time they update; available here :http://www.ogimet.com/ultimos_metars.php?l...ml&iord=yes Hellenic vACC - Olympic Aegean Virtual Prepar3D 5.3 | CPU i9 10900K | VGA: RTX 3070 | RAM: 32GB DDR4 | Monitor: 3440x1440
