Nice Weather Site

Featured Replies

Here is a (another :-))very nice wx site that I'm sure you'll find useful.http://www.wx-now.com/Default.aspxUse the airport ICAO code to get a weather summary, then click on the location to get a fuller report(both in ordinary English).Hope you enjoy! An unexpected bonus - At bottom of the full weather report, you will find a link to a map at Expedia.com. When you get there, play around with the zoom settings and you will be able to see the basic layout of the airport with surrounding roads and geographical features identified. Nice!BR,Frank

I should have mentioned that it also has a METAR Decoder.Just fetch them with Active Sky, then paste in here to get your wx report in the site's format, which includes VFR/IFR info.BR,Frank

The metar decoder is very neat - a feature that would be a worthwhile addition to AS - FSmeteo has had one since day one. While some metars are pretty self explanatory others can be quite obscure.Bruce

Hi Bruce,Yeah we've been wanting to implement that for a while, but other features took priority at the time, and flightwatch and AR accomplish similar things. It's now back towards the top of the list though: a real "decoder" :) We plan to provide wx data in both coded and decoded format for the next version...
