June 13, 200520 yr Hi, I have two questions:1. When I used FS Skyworld I could choose between several times of towering-anvil clouds for thunderstorms, but now, in the Active Environment, I can't see any towering clouds, neither in FS itself, and when I set thunderstorm I can't see those vertical anvil-headed clouds. What am I missing?2. Can FS Skyworld be uninstalled without consequencies on ASV?Thank you and congratulations for ASV! James Goggi
June 13, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi!1) I do believe it is all integrated now for the textures, Chris will need to explain more.. Are you not getting tall clouds at all in FS? You might want to try increasing the maximum cloud thickness and also check the option "Extend thunderstorm layers". These can improve things at the cost of system performance hit. 2) Yes, they are completely different programs/data...Thanks!!! Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
June 13, 200520 yr Author Thank you, Damian, for your reply!Yes, I can see tall clouds, but they are quite thin and isolated, I haven't been able, up to now, to see those massive towering clouds formations, but maybe I have to check further.Best regards,James James Goggi
June 15, 200520 yr Author Now I recall that it was in FS Skyworld for FS2002 that one could choose thunderstorm clouds ("real edge", "killer thunderstorm" and so on) and they appeared as large and 'heavy' formations. Then, in FS Skyworld 2004, one could just choose between cumulous and cirrus, no more thunderstorm clouds. As of yet, I haven't seen those enormous clouds formations in ASV, there are only single 'isolated' clouds. Thanks James Goggi
