June 21, 200520 yr Hi,I would like anyone to specifically describe the sensed problem!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
June 21, 200520 yr Jim,Don't you think the problem has already been explained quite well in this thread and also in the first picture included in Andy's original post? Like I said before, I'm far from any weather expert but always thought CAVOK would mean no/few clouds and that is not what I see in Andy's picture (and I have seen the same kind of cloud formations myself with CAVOK in the METAR).But then again, maybe this isn't a problem after all. Read the explanation on what the CAVOK expression really means and maybe the clouds are no lower than 5000' in Andy's pic and all other conditions are met as well for CAVOK - quite hard to tell.Either way, I think it would be a good idea to have this possible issue on your list of things to fix/have a look at.Cheers,
June 21, 200520 yr Hi All,OK thanks for the one feedback! I don't really think it is an issue/bug. If you are OK with the understanding of CAVOK then 2 things: be ready for some clouds to be drawn at 5000 and above OR turn On the Disable CAVOK Cloud Generation option. This one will rest unless someone else has a different experience!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
