July 24, 200520 yr I have uninstalled ASV after attempting to start it several times and getting a message and icon showing that windows needed to configure something. This is all after the program worked flawlessly. Now Im trying to reinstall, but to no avail. Im clicking on "ASV upgrade", but it's trying to give options to uninstall, modify, or etc....This started happening after downloading the new Flight1 installer/downloader for the new B200 Xtreme for it's upgrade yesterday.Any help is appreciated,Eric
July 24, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi Eric,Sounds like something deleted our required chilkatzip.dll module file, which sometimes erroneously comes up as spyware. Some AV/Anti-Spyware including PC-CILLIN still have this problem.. most AV/anti-spy have already updated their database to prevent erroneous flagging of this file.I would run the "repair" option from the ASV full install setup.exe. Don't run the ASV UPGRADE, run the ASV full install (usually in C:ASV_INSTALL_FILES). Last resort: Uninstall ASV then re-install (from the full install as well).Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
July 25, 200520 yr Well, the problem is that I dont have the full install version. I did the upgrade and that's what I purchased. How do I d/l the full version of ASV then?
July 25, 200520 yr Commercial Member HI Eric,The ASV full install should be located here :C:ASV_INSTALL_FILES, this is the extracted files from the original asv upgrade you have.ThanksChris WillisHiFi Simulation Software Team Developerhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg Kind RegardsChris Willis
