October 1, 200520 yr Hi gang,Small comment about imported routes... When you import an FS9 flight plan then correct the weather the average winds are calculated for the weather that was loaded with the flight plan not the one you just changed to. Keep up the great work!
October 1, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi,Do you mean alter the weather via wx configurator? Yes, the flight plan navlog generation process uses the current weather loaded. For this reason, we recommend setting your weather before processing your flight plan. The process requires a fair amount of overhead and thus why it does not update automatically, but rather on request of the user each time a NEW ROUTE process is performed.Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
October 2, 200520 yr Hi Damian,We got our lines crossed. Follow this procedure:1. Load ASV2. Go into New Route and load a FP.3. Change the altitude.4. Process.5. You will notice the altitude for average winds in the NAV log is different to the one you changed in the FP it will take the one you loaded with the FP.Hope this helps.
October 2, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi,I see. Thanks for the clarification and feedback. I will investigate further...Thanks! Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
October 2, 200520 yr Perhaps you are doing the altitude change incorrectly. When you load a flight plan from FS it will set a certain cruise altitude and that altitude will carry forward to ASV. AFAIK changing the altitude in the AVS altitude box does not actually change it.The procedure I use is to import the FP into ASV but instead of clicking 'OK' to load the FP I right click on the file and select Edit. Then find the cruise altitude near the top of the file, change it to the altitude you will be cruising at, save the file and then import it to ASV.HTH
