Pitch black night sky..can I turn it off?

Featured Replies

I love ASV but with my LCD monitor, its already dark. Heck, now when loading up the PMDG 744 I cannot even see anything in VC! I have to turn things on via the 2D panel and then go back to VC. The problem is, I want to keep a regular night sky and not the pitch black one BUT I use the ICS+Random feature and enjoy that option the most. If I have to manually pick the night sky, I will have to manually pick other textures and I don't want to do that. Is there a way to keep a fixed night sky AND keep the ICS+Random feature checked? If not, can there be a fix for those that are like me and in the same position? Heck, I just saw one post over in the LDS767 forum from one guy that thought it was the plane being messed up because all he saw was black!

HI Eric,Be sure you have the lastest ASV update http://sales.hifisim.com/ASVE/downloads.htmWell I can ask damian for future update to prevent random night sky in the startup option like the light etc. For now you can delete the non desired folder night sky in D:Flight Simulator 9ModulesASVActiveEnvironmentSky ColorFixed NightThere is 3 folder, delete only those you will never use.01 Clear Area Night= The sky color is Completly dark, darker clouds ,aircraft and ground normal light.02 Normal 01= Similar to Default fs2004, The sky color is medium dark, medium clouds light, aircraft and ground normal light.03 City Night= A night sky overs city area which will show more the clouds contrast and a mediumlight sky black color, aircraft and ground normal light.ThanksChris WillisHiFi Simulation Software Team Developerhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
