December 4, 200520 yr Hi there I wonder if anyone can help. I have a problem when using the PMDG 737 and ASV, but not other aircraft.Sometimes ground textures, mainly taxiways & runways go black when running ASV and ASVE. It only last a second or so, but is understandably irritating. There were no problems with AS2004.5. Once airbourne, there are also rectangular chunks of ground texture substantially darker than others next to them. I have played around with some of the display setting but to no avail. Is it a driver issue? - I don't have problems with other programmes in FS9. Any other ideas?Thank you. Graham
December 4, 200520 yr Graham,ASV doesn't change the ground textures so I'm fairly certain the problem isn't caused by ASV. (The way to check is simply to run FS9 without ASV.)Are you using an NVIDIA graphics card? If so, I have similar ground texture corruption problems with the latest round of Forceware drivers (81.84, 81.85, 81.87 and 81.95). I haven't found a way around that except to use older Forceware drivers e.g. 77.77, 78.01. They are available on http://www.guru3d.com/ (click on the Forceware drivers link on the right hand side).Hope this helps.Edwin
December 4, 200520 yr I use the latest Nvidia Forceware drivers, the PMDG 737, and ASV. I don't have any problems with ground textures at all. So I don't think the cause of your problem is any of those products. Dave Paige
December 4, 200520 yr Hi,You may need to lock your framerates to something lower than they are now. What are your system specs and what else are you running at the same time?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
December 5, 200520 yr Hi Dave,May I ask what video card you are using? On the hardware forum, another poster and I both have the same problem and it seems like the texture corruption problem arises when paired with a newer generation card e.g. both he and I have the 7800GTX.Edwin
December 5, 200520 yr Graham,You might wanna try to see how your processor priorities are set up. It has been a common reason for people not to get textures loading.Right click on my computerChose the Properties alternativeChose the tab AdvancedClick on the button Settings for PerformanceChose the tab Advanced (again but a different window :-))Processor scheduling and Memory usage both should be set for Programs. If set to Background Services and System cache respectively you might run into texture loading problems.Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
