First time with Influenced Graphics...

Featured Replies

So, what can be "reloaded" while FS is running and what cannot? I know if I'd want different cumulus, I need to restart FS. But what about the rest? And I read in another post, only set in those two lines WX-Influenced. That right? Nothing else and my skies will always change according to weather?

Hi Word Not Allowed,The Cirrus clouds are the only thing that can reload during the flight.Yes, both lines to Wx-Influenced and just make sure FS9 is closed and ASv6 params set for your flight, so that your wx gets loaded for the destination airport ID (or use the new default airport ID option), and the Wx-Influenced selections use your appropriate departure wx. You'll see the "All Graphics being Updated (FS Closed)" message followed by "Update complete". Then load FS and you're set! Follow the same procedure and the wx-influenced selections will always be changing according to your departure wx.Best,

Okay, why only two, if more can be adapted? Can I somehow adapt "everything" with one click?

THanks Damian,Another Q: Full Sky Theme, what does that change exactly? And youi say something about parameters for my flight? You talking about New Route tab?

  • Commercial Member

Hi again,Full Sky Theme changes all selection items in every category. It's the "Master" theme.Yes new route tab (or default airport ID setting).. the idea is to have the correct active wx loaded (i.e. departure ID) so that when ASG selects and submits the wx-influenced selections, it's using the correct desired weather. Otherwise it will use whatever closest wx station is shown (which when FS9 is closed might not be your correct departure ID).Best,

Hi, I'm still a little confused about how to set the "wx-influenced", as well as "Random All" themes. Do I only have to select "Random All" for "Sky Themes" once? And does this automatically enable the "wx-influenced" option? I clicked "select this item" under the "weather-influenced" selection and it changed the folders on the rightside from "Wild Blue Yonder" to "Wx-Influenced". I closed it and the next time I went in it had changed back to "Wild Blue Yonder" again. So I am sure this is a very simple thing, but I am totally confused as to how to set this up so that I am sure "wx-influenced" and "Random All" will be used all the time when the program is started up.quote from above reply... "Correct, under Graphics, click On Auto Submit and have the 2 WX Influenced Themes showing."I do not see an "auto submit" button under Graphics, Is it under selection details, or options?Best Regards,Tom

OK now, I think I figured it out now. I was reading the "Activesky 6 - How use "Weather Influenced" textures." thread and it tells me exactly how to set wx-influenced through the "Options" in the main interface. But does this still mean that the "Random All" function under the graphics interface is over-ridden since the graphics (wx-influenced) are determined by the local weather? Or do I still have to or should I set the "random All" option?Best Regards,Tom

Hi Tom,The auto-submit themes will always override anything you have selected in the interface. You don't need to use the interface at that point. If you do want to start making more manual selections outside of the ASv6 auto-submit system, remember to disable auto-submit.Best,

Thanks very much Damian! Thats all I need to know. So, in effect the auto submit function is sort of a program "controlled" random weather generation.Regards,Tom
