Slow writing of station data

Featured Replies

Hi Damian/Jim,Ever since I installed SU2 for AS6 writing of weather station data after downloading it takes ages. When flying from KORD to CYWG it takes about 10 minutes before all wx data has been written. Previous versions used to write wx station data much faster (~ 1 minute). In areas less populated with wx stations writing of wx data is a tad faster. Any idea how to 'repair' this? Thanks,Hans

Kind regards,
Hans van WIjhe

Hi Hans,The write process has remained unchanged between release and SU2 versions. This process depends on the response time of FS2004 via FSUIPC. We can only write the weather as fast as FS will accept it. If FS is taking longer, it can be due to a variety of reasons including:- Problematic configuration/installation causing memory issues or Temporary FS slowness (sometimes cured by reboot)- Problematic network setup (if on WideFS)- Other programs running taking resourcesRemember that airborne weather writes always take longer, but 10 minutes is highly excessive (2-5 minutes would be more appropriate). If you're able to confirm that SU2 experiences this effect for you while the previous version does not (via uninstall/reinstall to prior version) please send me the details and I will troubleshoot this with you ([email protected]).Best,
