March 20, 200620 yr Hey Guy's! Somehow I lost the Lead-In Strobes for the Runways!! Don't know If I messed up a setting in Activesky that Deactivated this or what! But I Can't Get Them Back! I want to do some Night Flying, and I can't see the Runways because it's all Dark, Only thing Working on the Runway's are the Edge Light's and Center Line Light's. So It's veryhard when coming in for the Approach at Night! Can Anyone Plase Help me to get this Back? Hate to do a Reinstall of my FS! MIKE:(
March 20, 200620 yr Hi,In your FS9.cfg file under Display see if you have these lines:RUNWAY_LIGHTS_SURFACE_SCALAR = 1.0RUNWAY_LIGHTS_VASI_SCALAR = 1.0RUNWAY_LIGHTS_APPROACH_SCALAR = 1.0RUNWAY_LIGHTS_STROBE_SCALAR = 1.0You need to add them manually.AS does not touch these! You may have built a new FS9.cfg file and forgot to add these lines back in.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter
March 20, 200620 yr Hi JimNot my post, but I have now got my strobe lead in lights back thanks to your advise. Many ThanksKevin
March 21, 200620 yr Hi, Thank's for the Reply! Yes I have those entries In my FS9 CFG! But Mine is not 1.0 It's at 0.5, Changed it to lower the intesity. Was working Fine Before, Never had this porblem, No all of a Sudden they are All Gone, All Default and Add-On scenery's dont have them on at all! I am really Sad now. I have alot of Add-on's, and hate to do a Reinstall of FS just for these #### LIGHTS! :(
March 21, 200620 yr Commercial Member HI Mike,No need reinstall FS for this.-It's related to the runways light texture, check in the ASG environment for those runways light set.-1.0 it's the default FS value in the fs9.cfg-You might check in the ASG backup folder for the halo.bmp-Be sure your hardware light are at full right in fs2004 setting.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg Kind RegardsChris Willis
March 22, 200620 yr hey Chris! Did all those, Installed the HALO.BMP I had been using before. Put it back in the main FS Texture Folder. And Still No Lead-In Strobes! Anyone Else got a Suggestion. Also In ActiveSky. In The Graphics Window, I did not like the Twinkly Looking Light's I had, So I Unchecked that Box, Don't Know if that has something to do with it?? And Wehn I Check it, to make it active Again, and Choose the Send To FS Button, And Start FS, Then check the Graphic's Window for ActiveSky, It Is Still Unchecked, when I Checked it before Starting FS!? So Something Is Messing Up Somewhere?? MIKE:(
March 23, 200620 yr Commercial Member Hi Mike, Install your old halo in the fs9 and don't start active sky, to see if asg overwrite the halo.Halo in ASG are designed to be set at 1.0 or little higher.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg Kind RegardsChris Willis
March 24, 200620 yr Ok Thank's Chris! I changed the Scalar from .05 back to default of 1.0, Now I have the strobes back.!:) Strange maybe it was from my Diffrent Vid Drivers I changed to. or Activesky needs the Default Scalar for the Light's, and I put back Set#4 from Activesky Grapihcs. and it works fine! Thank's for the Help and Suggestions Guy's. Appreciate it. MIKE:)
February 1, 200719 yr JimSorry to rake over an old thread, but I have lost my landing strobes after an ASG texture change." In your FS9.cfg file under Display see if you have these lines:RUNWAY_LIGHTS_SURFACE_SCALAR = 1.0RUNWAY_LIGHTS_VASI_SCALAR = 1.0RUNWAY_LIGHTS_APPROACH_SCALAR = 1.0RUNWAY_LIGHTS_STROBE_SCALAR = 1.0 "I dont have these lines in my FS9 .cfg file at all. February 1, 200719 yr JimThanks for the help. If I approach an airport with parallel runways, should both lead-in strobes be activated, or just the runwawy which ATC have assigned me?Peter Peter Schluter
February 1, 200719 yr Hi,In FS just your runway I believe. I have never seen parallel runways lit up.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
