hi flew out of egph about 1300 today heavy rain and thunderstorm although i looked out of my window and there was cloud but it hasnt rained all morning, after climbing out at 23000ft there was broken cloud below but no blue sky up above as you expect despite climbing up to 38000ft, do i have a problem with asv or is this expected

did another flight today 19.30 from egph heavy rain although still hasnt rained this afternoon, broken clouds at 3000 climb to 33000ft broken clouds below but still this whitish background see attachment, asv options online updates on fog layer generation off,depict fs9 haze layer on, max vis 59 min vis 0

Hi,#1) You're getting rain because you have Force TSTORMS with CB option on, and reported CB cloud layers. You can disable this option to prevent any thunderstorm generation with CB (and thus require actual TS designation before depiction tstorms).#2) Sky color, if you want a clearer sky you need to bump up your maximum visibility to a higher setting (above 59) but then you will get a big sudden transition through 59.9 if visibility graduation is enabled, so if you up this, you might want to try turning off visibility graduation and let the vis go to max right as you pass the vis ceiling (anywhere from 3K to 10K depending on cloud heights). You also appear to be using a polluted sky set... there are many other day color sky sets that can bring a different, more "blue" and colorful appearance.Best,

thanks damian, i will give those options a try, i noticed when flying without asv the sky colour was the same whitish effect so i will chose a more bluer one

just one more question, if i chose a different sky colour will i still get the correct up to date weather where ever im flying
