April 14, 200620 yr Hi Jim,I noticed something not very important, but I would like to let you know about : In my region (Greece) when I ask ASv6 to fetch a METAR, say any airport, it brings it along with a TAF belonging to another Greek airport or even to an airport of neighbouring countries. I have taken into account that not all APTs do have published TAFs, but those I ask about it is known that they have.Is it going to be fixed with the upcoming official update ?Thanks,Sotiris. April 14, 200620 yr Author Ask for LGAT fetches LGAD TAF " " LGMK " LTBJ TAF (should normally be LGAT) " " LGSO " LTBJ TAF " " .As I see, the case is again LGAV and the nearby airports.Sotiris. Sotiris Stavrakis
April 14, 200620 yr Commercial Member Hi,Here's the issue: LGAT isn't a real ICAO station any longer, and doesn't supply data. It comes from LGAV via a METAR translation at the server end and is applied to LGAT station (the only settable station in that zone within FS9). This works great for METAR but the system doesn't currently support translation of TAFs. Instead, you'll always get the closest TAF that has a matching FS9 station/ICAO TAF forecast.Ideally you want LGAV's TAF to be applied to those stations via extended translation. It is something we are working on.Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
