April 19, 200620 yr I'm set up properly in FSBuild 2.2 to get the winds aloft from ASv6 (latest beta). Am not getting an accurate import. Here's an example from an 18 APR KIAD - EDDF flight plan: ASv6 winds aloft for FL350 at 50N50W: 209/079 FSBuild 2.2 fltpln: 287/025 FSBuild waypoints: ---/022 Similiar errors at all 41 waypoints in the flight plan.Posted in the FSBuild forum, but no response. Anyone have ideas on what might be causing the differences?Jim Harnes

April 20, 200620 yr Author Hey Terry,No wideFS and the data came from the NAVLOG and waypoints in FSBuild. Did get a reply in the FSBuild forums. Probably best place to work this out.Soon as I can find my old wizwheel and plotter will work a few wind triangles to see what is happening. Believe Ernie indicated the waypoints wind of 22 kts is the headwind component, but it doesn't have a - on the printout. Need to check that against ASv6 winds of 209/079 and can't do that in my head any longer :)Interesting that FSBuild fuel plan headers give an average wind of P028 (tailwind) while ASv6 shows 300/065. That's quite a difference for fuel planning purposes. Apples and oranges perhaps...Jim
April 21, 200620 yr Commercial Member Hi Jim,The AS Navlog Report (currently) has limitations, and the average route winds is incorrectly calculated in some situations. Go with the FSBuild average, this will be the accurate figure. Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
April 21, 200620 yr Author Thanks, Damien! No wonder I couldn't get the wind triange trig to agree with AS Navlog reported winds :-) . Thought I lost it in my old age LOL.Jim Harnes
August 21, 200619 yr Author Damian,Were the Navlog wind calculation limitations (for average route winds) fixed in the most current build? Also, does the Navlog or FSBuild currently provide the most accurate waypoint winds? Thanks,Jim Harnes
