Any update on possibility of weather radar in aircraft?

Featured Replies

I saw someones video and they have the PMDG 747 integrated on there display was a wx radar, is this possible, does a module exist?

Hi,You can run AR in mini mode and drag it on your screen anywhere you like. But because AR is not a gauge, you cannot install it in a panel. I believe Reality XP has something that works like this.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter

The Reality-XP WX 500 Radar merged with the PMDG 737NG is unofficial, requires a slightly earlier version of the WXR than the current. This places the radar display in the ND. It is a bit touchy to do.The author supplied some underlay gauges and interface modules to accomplish this by using reverse engineering. If used as a stand-alone gauge the current Reality product can be used, however.

The PSS 777 series for FS2004 has the weather radar overlay in the ND display, the routes, airport, waypoints etc all show up above the wx radar scan. Really cool.

HiJim I like the AR alot BUT it seems any and every flight I run it fs9 crashes at some point during an update.I've never posted about this because I'm not 100% sure its AR causing it so I just fly without it for now.Of course I would of noticed alot of other people complain here if that was the case.
