-Edited subject line for more relevance-Since this has been updated to 499 this program is in the worst shape I have seen yet. I don't know how updates can totally whack a program out but I will keep an eye out for further updates/fixesTim

A very very broad statement - perhaps you could substantiate what you mean by 'totally whack a program out'. I'm sure Jim and Damian (and for that matter others who read your post) would love to know what has happened to make you feel this way.Andy b

Hi Tim,That is a surprise! I believe the only difference between 496 and 499 is the ASG run-on issue when programmed not to remain running. Can you at least give us a clue? Sorry guys: I will be more specific... I was a little frustrated earlier. When I run AS I always enter a route then refresh. Usually it downloads in about 2-3 seconds on my connection. Well now it takes a little more than a minute to download the data and about 3 mins to update everything. I don't submit any textures into FS ( I use FE ) And then I start FS. It usually takes about 10 seconds to udate the weather in FS but now it takes more than 3-4 minutes. So from the time I start AS until I see the actual weather in FS is about 10-12 minutes now on the average which used to take 3-4 minutes. And I have noticed the weather doesn't show real weather, or even close. Rainy conditions only show few clouds and overcast shows no clouds, just clear weather. The ONLY thing I have done to this computer is load the new 499. I use this computer only for Flight simming so I am not sure why this happened, hence my reason to try and go back to 496 (which was SO perfect) Oh well... enough of my banter, take care.Tim

Hi Tim,1. Disable the throttling options. I just tried and got the normal download speed and update times.2. The weather engine has not been changed. Have you made any changes in the settings?Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://dot.kelder.net:8080/fseconomy/

Hi Jim. Could you say a bit more about throttling options. I didn't understand the readme and don't know whether they should be disabled on my machine. I have AS on a separate TabletPC via Wide FS. I act very slow refresh. But I always have, and otherwise the program works fine.

Hi,Throttles by default are enabled.. this "slows" down the processing of ASv6, so that it takes less away from your system and provides better FS frames/smoothness. In recent versions we have defaulted to a more "relaxed" approach to processing in order to provide the best experience for the widest range of users/systems.If you have a system or configuration that can keep up with a heavier load imposed by ASv6, you can disable one or both throttles. Best bet is to experiment and see what works best for you. Readme.txt explains and there are also tooltips in the options screen.Hope that helps! Please open a new thread if you need any further assistance.Best,
