June 25, 200619 yr I was flying in the south of England yesterday real wx was about 26 deg C and much of the landscape was covered in snow. I have noticed this before at odd times so I uninstalled then reloaded FS9 in case I had a corrupt file somewhere, but I've got the problem back. I did a search for 'snow' in this forum and it appears other people have had the same problem.Has anyone that had this problem before found a fix please.ThanksGlen Glen
June 25, 200619 yr There have been cases of cricket matches snowed off in the middle of summer, so it could be real.:-).Steve

June 27, 200619 yr Hi Marty,Do you have any add-on scenery installed?I just tried and I cannot duplicate this. Is FS04 are the seasons set correctly? Is this with ASv6 Build 500?Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://dot.kelder.net:8080/fseconomy/
June 27, 200619 yr Author I loaded up the same aircraft at the same airfield this time with FS9 Real Wx and the snow had gone, normal summer scene. I then reset the flight and started ASv6 Build 499 and the snow returned ??The wx was EGVO 271950Z 07005kt 9999 FEW030 BKN054 16/11 Q1020 BLU NOSIGFS9 is set to Summer Time. Iv'e taken a screenshot of the snow and the AS main page in view. I can send it to you if it will help.Glen Glen
June 27, 200619 yr Hi,Please do! June 28, 200619 yr For the area in question, no I don't have any add-on scenery installed. Yes, the sesons are set correctly because I always fly with the current date and time. This was the first time that it ever happened to me so it doesn't surprise me that you weren't able to replicate. Unfortunately I didn't think to save the weather from that date.No this is with build 499.Regasrds,Brian
June 28, 200619 yr Hi All,The only thing I have come up with is that there is a package of scenery that sometimes produces this. It's not for the areas in question in this thread, but somewhere else and it affects other area textures. So, do either of you have any scenery add-ons or is this with a clean FS04?Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://dot.kelder.net:8080/fseconomy/
June 28, 200619 yr Is there anyone out there that still has a clean copy of 04?But in all seriousness... The answer to your question is yes I do have add-on scenery. I have freeware mesh scenery for most of Europe and quite a lot of places in the US. I do also have payware scenery for KMCO and other places. As a side-note, I have not had the issue reoccur and also on that same flight from Honduras, I flew to Guatemala and when I landed in Guatemala, it was raining. Maybe we can gen up some canned weather to see if this replicates. Glen, do you remember what your exact ob was at that time - in terms of precip and sky condition. I say this because my idea is that just the precip of TSRA was what triggered it :D Regards,Brian
June 28, 200619 yr Glen,Apologies Sir, I just re-read the thread and realised that you had posted the observation - therefore disregard the last paragraph :)Regards,Brian
