June 28, 200619 yr Author The only addon scenery I use is called UK2000 which is an airfield enhancement addon. I have been using this for a few years now without any problems. I did have this snow problem a few months ago so decided to uninstall then reinstall FS9 thinking I had a corrupt file somewhere. The only problem is I also reinstalled the UK2000 scenery so can't tell you if it was ok without it.If I don't use AS then I don't have any problems.Glen Glen
June 29, 200619 yr Commercial Member Hello all,I was able to reproduce this condition and found the problem. Fixed and tested, with updated release pending.FWIW this problem would only occur during an active TAF element period (with TAF processing enabled).Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
June 29, 200619 yr Damian,Thanks for fixing this !! :) Looking forward to installing the new release :)
July 11, 200619 yr Great program, it really adds life to FS weather!I have the latest update and still have the problem mentioned above problem, with TAF enabled. The way I see it AS6 is reading lines like:-SHRA[b/] as "light 'snow' showers" instead of "light rain[b/] showers"SH = showers and SN = snowAny help for this problem?
July 11, 200619 yr Hi,Unless you are a beta tester I don't think you have the release that fixes this! If you are a tester then please e-mail Damian. We have had good reports on the next Service Update, so it shouldn't be too long now!!Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://dot.kelder.net:8080/fseconomy/
July 29, 200619 yr Hi Damian,If the new release you mentioned is the one that just came out (B503), then there is still a problem. I encountered snow yesterday in Chicago around 2:00 pm local time. Season was set for summer and AS6 reported no precipitation. Yet it was snowing and the ground textures were white.John
