June 25, 200619 yr Can't seem to get FS9 to use a downloaded weather file. Below is my settings. I believe I have the options setting correct based on the manual and also from some old posts here in the forum. Is there a certain sequence of steps? June 26, 200619 yr Hi Marty,Turn Online Updates On. Right now it is Off/False.Then you may need to allow your firewall/anti-virus to allow us access. Thanks for posting your .ini. Makes our job a lot easier!!Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://dot.kelder.net:8080/fseconomy/
June 26, 200619 yr Interesting, I thought I saw a popup that turns the online updates off when loading an archived file. Thanks Jim for the great support!!Marty
June 27, 200619 yr Hi Marty,You are correct. I misread your post. What trouble are you having using an archived file?Save the archive on your computer, then use the Load Wx button to browse to the file. You will get that message and then you will be in Offline Mode. Please let me know!Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://dot.kelder.net:8080/fseconomy/
June 27, 200619 yr Jim:The weather from the archived file is not seen within FS. I press the refresh button and the station are processed again and the cirrus graphics are updated. When I return to FS, the weather remains the same.Marty
June 29, 200619 yr Commercial Member Hi Marty,If you can please e-mail me ([email protected]) the weather file you are trying and the starting location ID (after verifying the failure again), I will attempt to duplicate. I am not sure what is going on, but it is possible that the weather file you are using indeed is specifying such "clear" conditions at the location in question. There could be other factors as well. I'll check this all out and report back. Thanks!Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
June 29, 200619 yr make sure you give it enough time. I have a download file of some bad weather at kclt and it can take 6 or 7 min. before it is fully loaded. keith
June 30, 200619 yr Damian:As you suggested in your email, I disabled the TAF processing and the archived weather appeared within FS.Thanks again for testing my archived file and getting a response back to me is super fast time!Marty
