Small pause of the sim when activating weather

Featured Replies

Hi, when the writing process is complete and fs loads the AS weather, there is a small pause, where the motion of the aircraft stops for a second. It is like if you press P during the flight. Is there a way to fix that problem, or do we have to hope that FSX does not behave like that. Jan-Paul

Hi,It's really a FS performance issue. You can get this even with FS04 weather.Try experimenting with the throttling options to find the best mix for your machine.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://dot.kelder.net:8080/fseconomy/

Hi,With ATI cards you may also solve similar issues by unchecking the "Render to Texture" option in the display settings.RegardsReinhard

That did not solve it for me. It does this little pause no matter if I have "Pause On Task Switch" enabled or not.I will experiment with the throttling options but it is true that the stock FS9 weather does the same thing. One thing I have done is to raise the supression ceiling and suppression range so that it won't do an update when I'm on final. That happened to me a few times before I figured out what to do about it, and it was almost bad for my virtual life. :)Rhett
