Hi guys. Firstly, thanks for the best FS add-on a man can get!FS2004 closes okay but when l shut ActiveSky6 (most recent version) it often tends to hang needing a push from Task Manager (XP) to close. Not a big problem in itself really but wondering what may cause the hang and if there is something l can do to exit nicely. I've a pretty clean newly built system and have no other system problems.Advice most welcome.PhilGigabyte K8N Pro Sli MBOAMD 3200+ (Venice) CPUCrucial 1Gb PC3200 RAMSeagate 250Gb SATA2 HDDGigabyte 6600GT 256Mb GPUWin XP SP2

Hi Phil,Thanks for the words! One idea is that AS is sending weather info to FS (write process) at the time you're shutting FS2004 down, which will muck up the communications between AS and FSUIPC, possibly causing an extended delay and apparent hang. I would recommend closing ASv6 first, then FS2004 to avoid this kind of scenario.Does that solve it?Best,

Sure does!So thats a comms error trap event pending a future release or just a trivial thing to note. :-lol Thanks and best regards,Phil

Hi Phil,There unfortunately are design issues preventing us from "listening" to FSUIPC connection status during writes (i.e. ASv6 is not multi-threaded and the call the FSUIPC when in the process of disconnecting stalls the app entirely until timeout).Fortunately we are working on a new multi-threaded design which prevents this kind of issue and will be much better for the intensive weather engine process tasks at many levels. So yes, in short, a fix (and then some) is pending :)Best,-Damian
