''FS is not connected yet''

Featured Replies

ASv6 constantly says that FS is Disconnected. Even if I load a flight plan, it still says "FS is not connected yet, Flight plan departure coordinates have been loaded" FSUIPC 3.7.0.0. registered is in the Module folder. I also see no change at all when i start FS.enyone now's what this can be?

Hi,I know we are dealing with this by e-mail also! The key may be to click on the Refresh button, because you are stating Paused.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Hello Jim,To explain my problems again to you:FSUIPC is in the module folder version 3.7.0.0, because radar gauges is working well. FSUIPC is also working fine.I have checked the FSUIPC twice and I have re-installed Active Sky 6.It found my Start Location. The program starts in "paused". You told me had to click "Refresh", after I started Flight Simulator, but what ever I do, it keeps telling me FS has "not yet connected".Everything seems to be right and working, except for this program, cause it keeps telling me it's not connected and it also doesn't implant the whether into FS.Please help me resolve this problem!!Maybe somebody else has dealt with this problem?!Regards,Arthur

Anorther question from my; which weather theme do i have to choose in FS. Or is this not importend?

Hi,I'll get back to this in a bit. I have some family matters to deal with. We'll get you up and running!Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Hi,Run an unregistered FSUIPC and see what happens. To do this, cut and paste the FSUIPC.key file out and then see what happens.Once ASv6 and FS04 are communicating properly then the weather theme will automatically be set to User Defined. Please let us know what happens.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Hi,I am suffering from the same problem, and am wondering if Active Sky is failing to locate the application data folder? The reason why I ask is because exactly the same thing happened initially with a previous install. In that case, ihe problem eventually solved itself when, after many attempts at getting the program to work, AS asked me to provide paths to my app data and FS folders. When I had done so, the problem disappeared. Unfortunately I recently had to reformat and reinstall so I am back at square one. I've forgotten what I did to get the path confirmation boxes, so how do I find out if AS is looking in the right place for the app. data folder? My OS and FS are not on Drive C. They are both on Drive E. Could this be causing the problem?FSUIPC is not allowing me to turn off the weather settings. Could this be related? Here's the FSUIPC log:********* FSUIPC, Version 3.48 by Pete Dowson *********Running inside FS2004 (FS9.1 CONTROLS.DLL, FS9.1 WEATHER.DLL)User Name="xxxxxxxxxx"User Addr="xxxxxxxxxxxxx"FSUIPC Key is providedWIDEFS not user registered, or expiredModule base=61000000ClassOptions: UIPCMAIN=FF7F, FS98MAIN=FF7F, FS2KMAIN=FF5EWeatherOptions(Orig)=4000B6A7[4000B6A7]InitDelay: 0 secondsWeatherReadInterval=4LogOptions=00000001DebugStatus=15 1687 System time = 18:32:45 1703 E:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9 1703 System time = 18:32:45, FS2004 time = 12:00:00 (00:00Z) 2515 E:Documents and SettingsstephenMy DocumentsFlight Simulator FilesLeuchars.flt 2609 AIRCRAFTALPHA Gloster Javelinalpha_faw9.air 2765 Aircraft="ALPHA Javelin" 5703 Module [M1] identified = "ActiveRadar.dll" 13484 E:Documents and SettingsstephenMy DocumentsFlight Simulator FilesUI generated flight.flt 13859 Clear All Weather requested: external weather discarded 16140 Advanced Weather Interface Enabled 72672 Client Application: "ASv6" (Id=392) 72672 E:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9ModulesASv6ASv6.exe 72672 Product="ActiveSky 6" 72672 Company="HiFi Simulation Software" 84047 WeatherOptions set, now 0000B0A7 (timer=0) 245844 Client Application: "ASv6" (Id=3104) 245844 E:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9ModulesASv6ASv6.exe 245844 Product="ActiveSky 6" 245844 Company="HiFi Simulation Software" 2019640 ClearWeather Button Pressed 2026109 Weather cleared by user action 2026109 External weather discardedBest wishesSteve P

Hi,AppData/FS9 folder paths have nothing to do with FSUIPC issues. But to verify these paths just look in the ASv6.ini file.In this case I see you have 3.48 FSUIPC. I suggest the latest version as you are currently using an old unsupported one. http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html. Once you've updated and if you still have problems please open up a new thread with the FSUIPC.log as well as your ASv6.ini file, as well as a verbose description of the error/problem you are noting. I believe the original user's problem was related to an invalid FSUIPC key, not related to your issue.Best,

Hi,Updating FSUIPC to the one that comes with AS did the trick. It's working perfectly now.Best wishesSteve P

Hi Steve,That is good that you got things working, but that is a very old version of FSUIPC. You really should be using V3.70. Give that version a try when you get a chance!Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Hi Jim,I have the same problem after a fresh FS2004, ASv6 install.Unregistered FSUIPC by removing the key file and it now works. But it won't connect when registered.Xander

Hi,Sorry for the trouble. One possibility is that you have a bad key file for FSUIPC. Please contact Pete from FSUIPC and ask him to look at your key. Please let us know.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Do you need FSUIPC to run this program? I have an error when it loads which states "error-FSUIPC 3.48 or later needs to be installed" I have an unregistered 3.47.
