1 Problem and a suggestion!

Recommended Posts

Just purchased the combo package and installed which went without a hitch!! Ran across a problem though, in cases that dialog boxes are generated when installing textures the box gets hidden behind the main application, giving the impression the app is hung. In some cases the box won't come to the front forcing me to terminate the app in the task manager!! The other thing, is it took me a little while to figure out Xgraphic default is not the same as FSX default. This means to go back to default textures you have to use the restore backup function. The problem here is it's all or nothing. There is a myriad of choices for sky textures, so I was going to use the default texture for now, until I find one I like, but I can't install my other individual choices for the other types of textures. So it would be nice if in the selection of both themes, and individual texture types, FSX default was one of the options! Thanks!

Thanks

Tom

>Hi Tom,>>Thanks for the feedback. I will look into #1. That was not the>way things were before.>>And for #2 you are asking for FSX Default textures to be>included in the individual drop down menus, correct?>>Thanks,>Jim>>http://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpg>http://www.hifisim.com/Correct for #2, it would finish off this great product, by giving the user every possible combination. For example right now I would like to use the default day sky, but use the other XG textures. I'm sure there is a XG sky that I'll like, I just haven't found it yet with all the combinations possible. So far they seem not blue enough, green or too dark!! I've only got through the first 6 or 7, so I'll keep tying until I find the right one that suits me!!As for the GUI problem, in case the OS has anything to do with it, I use WinXP Media Edition!

Thanks

Tom

Yep, same problem here - the dialog boxes are hidden behind others which can require a termination via task manager (i can usually get around it by clicking all over the screen, though, in a blind effort to find the spot that closes the dialog). Also, the interface can be very unresponsive - clicking menu buttons can require a wait of up to a minute before anything happens.Apart from those issues - awesome. Recommenced a 50% complete flight and the difference in weather from using AS6.5 last night was amazing. The turbulence alone is entirely different and much more realistic.Andrew

Yep, same problem here - the dialog boxes are hidden behind others which can require a termination via task manager (i can usually get around it by clicking all over the screen, though, in a blind effort to find the spot that closes the dialog). The easiest way I find to do this (although it doesn't always work) is right click on the task bar and select "Show the Desktop" This will minimize all open apps, uncovering the dialog box. If this doesn't work then it's terminate the App time, and try again!!

Thanks

96dpi here, too, so that's not the fix (for me, anyway).
