Hi guys - First, been playing with the new product and at firest blush, I love it! Seems very intuitive and very robust - nice job!!Two questions come to mind right away though - The Wx Influenced theme seems to indicate that it must be done each time you fly and want real wx themes. Is there a setting that will have ASX do that automatically each time I fly.The randomize themes - if this is selected, does this mean that X Graphics must be run first for each flight or can ASG be set to automatically pull random wx influenced themes.Last - since ASX no longer uses FSUIPC is it safe to assume that any weather related settings in FSUIPC will have no effect on ASX?Thanx for a great productVisit the Virtual Pilot's Centerwww.flightadventures.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/

Hi,Thanks!1. Wx Influenced need a flight plan so if you process a plan, a popup will ask you if you wish to install textures. This can be done with X Graphics closed.2. No, there is no such thing as random, wx influenced textures. It's one or the other!3. Correct! Though I know the clear weather button works because it sends a clear command to FSX.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

Thanx, Jim - So, if I'm just in free flight w/o a flight plan the wx influenced setting doesn't work?Maybe I'm misunderstanding exactly what wx influenced really means - could you clarify? If I understand correctly then wx influenced checks the weather along the proposed route, determines the general weather schema ( stormy, etc ) and loads the appropriate sets but if I'm free flying, it just uses the last set loaded.Sorry to be so dense today!VicVisit the Virtual Pilot's Centerwww.flightadventures.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/

Hi Vic,To clarify, you do NOT need a route for wx-influenced. But if you don't specify a route, you need to tell ASX which station's weather to use for selections. If we just automatically submitted textures we could only guess at where you wanted to fly and which weather to base this on. Since FSX must be closed, there is no location information. So, per the documentation, you can either load a flight plan and have ASX automatically launch wx influenced install at that point (preferred) or if just going to free fly, use the report screen, select the airport you want to use for reference, and click the X Graphics wx-influenced button.Best,

OK, got it now. I was forgetting that FSX would be closed and figured ASX would pick up the location from the default flight. As an end user, I am ecstatic with the results. As an old time assembly/C++ programmer I am awed by the quality of the product and can certainly appreciate the hours of effort. From what I can tell, you will be suitably rewarded!Kudos to all involved!VicVisit the Virtual Pilot's Centerwww.flightadventures.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/
