April 30, 200818 yr Commercial Member Hi John,Looks like you are experiencing some FSX interpolation issues... when you get in certain areas, regardless of our data saying vis is 'X' for all stations and the global zone, strange interpolation from FSX will result in 'Y' being depicted. There is no [known] pattern for this. The sliders are controlling the end result data that is supplied from ASX. From there, FSX is doing its thing, which unfortunately is just wrong in many cases. We have many things in place to try and reduce problems but this is an example of the limits of our current success. Work continues on trying to improve this (along a slew of other things).Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
May 1, 200818 yr Hi Damian,Thank you for the response. The only thing that makes me think it may be an ASX issue is when I change the visibility sliders and let the engine do its thing, and then go to reports and look at the graphical conditions, my changes are not always displayed correctly. For example, if I set the slider to max 3 miles surface visibility and go to reports and look at the graphical conditions, sometimes the visibility remains unchanged at say 10+ SM. FSX is displaying correctly the visibility per report - graphical conditions. The ASX sliders are not always consistent with ASX report - graphical conditions.ThanksJOhn
May 1, 200818 yr Commercial Member Hi John,Thanks for the clarification. So the actual depicted visibility is alyways correct per your limits sliders but the report is incorrectly saying 10+ in some circumstances. Is this correct? If you have specific procedures that reproduce this problem (even if intermittent) please send to me at damianc AT hifisim.com, making sure to include details on which weather is loaded (date/time GMT) and which location you are at when testing. Thanks! Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
