May 28, 200818 yr LOL,I would love it if the METAR, TAF and Winds Aloft forecast were 100% accurate in real life....my cross country navigation calculations would be far easier!Truth of the matter is that a pilot must make correction all of the time during a flightplan to allow for varying wind conditions. May 29, 200818 yr Author thwnks i appreciete the detailed answersall i was trying to get at was the fact that from the videos etc etc i have seen from he flight decks on many long haul flights they seem to be able to land with in 1000 or 2000 lbs of their predicted landing fuel. and they planned it that way based on the wind at each waypoint from a forcast and it seems pretty accuratei hear what you are saying that to get this in fsx it would be so complex that it cant happen , all i assumed was that if asx can accurately tell me what is happenening in the snapshot and i turn off dynamic changes then in theory things should remain the same for the whole flight and fuel planning should then be accurate. Unfortunately the problem seems to be that asx briefing does not seem to be able to accurately grab the wind data from the sim or the download it does not appear accurate even with smooting options offthat was all i was afterthankskav
May 29, 200818 yr Hi kav,The Briefing most certainly has accurate data, not from the sim, but from the real world data. Then this data is constantly sent to the sim, not from the briefing, but from the real world data.Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
