February 28, 200323 yr Hello, I do not hear any Marker sounds when the R4D passes over any one of the known sound generating markers. The same markers, same airport runway, do generate a sound in a different aircraft so I suspect I have something set up incorrectly in the R4D but it eludes me right now. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks and Regards
February 28, 200323 yr Commercial Member Here's a trick to get the Marker sounds working in the R4D:Load up the default Cessna, bring up the radio stack, and push the MKR button so that its green light is on. Now, switch back to the R4D and the tones will be activated. March 1, 200323 yr Hi Bill. In the Trial Version aircraft.cfg the value for the Marker Beacon is 1,2, 9.0. In all of the default MS A/C and in the Container SDK it shows a value of 17 in place of the 9.0 for the Marker Beacon. In yours all the other values are 17. Could this be the problem? If so, a simple edit and resave of the aircraft.cfg should fix the problem. If this is a problem does this same thing happen on the CD version, which I am anxiously awaiting. Thanks for a GREAT plane and all the trimmings. Best regards, Bob.
March 1, 200323 yr Please pardon my post above. I mistook the thread as being for the Trial version of the B-25. The marker becons don't sound in the B-25 either. They do after turning on the MKR in one of the default planes. I hope the full version B-25 works OK in this area. Regards to all, Bob.
March 1, 200323 yr Commercial Member It does. The 'BT' user's manual says:MARKER BEACON Toggles the audible tones for the Outer, Middle, and Inner marker beacons (OMI). There is no difference between the Lo and Hi setting, for FS purposes.
