March 5, 200323 yr Commercial Member OK, since you told me I can't yell at you (but if I could, I'd say "READ THE MANUAL!") :-grr ...I'll just whisper it: "go read the manual, please." :-haloFollow the Table of Contents link for START-UP FLIGHTS and you'll find all the info about the free, add-on carrier, the U.S.S John C. Stennis by Javier Fernandez, and even a link to its download. On the other hand, if what you really mean is, where is the carrier? ... N34 degrees 58.48', W123 degrees 6.55' ;-)Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM - Rambow, Visser, Banting, and Younghttp://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/maamsim_logo.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org
March 5, 200323 yr Thanks Bill for not yelling !! I installed the BT around 10:30pm lastnight, flew for 5min. then bed. Had to be back at the airport early this morning. Did you see my post about the Landing gear / no joy...gear handel up in the cockpit but gears still down with outside view?Aloha,Mahalo !
March 6, 200323 yr Commercial Member Yes, I saw it and the answer Adam gave you, which prompted me to make a FAQ entry about the battery switches. Are you saying that you still can't get the gear up, even with the batteries on? I have no idea why that would be. :-(Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM - Rambow, Visser, Banting, and Younghttp://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/maamsim_logo.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org
March 6, 200323 yr How about making a flight plan or adventure addon that lets us start on the carrier at the correct position to duplicate the raid on Tokyo? This would be GREAT! Thanks, regards, Bob.
March 6, 200323 yr Commercial Member I think that is a heck of a good idea! I also think you are just the man for the job! If anyone wants to create and upload flights for 'BT', as long as it does not include any of our actual files, without permission, have at it. :-)Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM - Rambow, Visser, Banting, and Younghttp://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/maamsim_logo.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org
March 6, 200323 yr Hi Bill. I'd love to do it. My problem is I have no clue as to where the carrier was at the time of takeoff and don't know how to place the carrier at that place. If some expert can help with this project I'd be glad to make a flight. A real adventure, with audio, etc, like REAL ATC from Ralph Zimmerman, would be GREAT but I am not an adventure programmer either. Best regards, Bob.
March 6, 200323 yr Bill.. Main and nose gears working fine...Adams awnser about the batteryswitch was right on. The "Mitchell" was the first model my dad boughtme in the "50's". I've been waiting for this for a LONG time.Ron BrownAmerica West Flight ControlPhoenix, AZPS: I got off the USS Stennis 1st time with zero winds (dusted the sea a tad) and landed using a "lot" of flight deck! The video I usedwas "Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo"Aloha,Mahalo !
