March 6, 200323 yr Is there any way to get the BT into CFS2 or CFS3? That would be GREAT! Thanks, regards to all, Bob.
March 6, 200323 yr Commercial Member We are talking with the folks at Microsoft about porting the aircraft to CFS3, in fact. But there is much to do and the time constrictions on a couple of our team members mean that we have to press hard to get the Gmax R4D out in time for the MAAM World War II Weekend Show. Don't give up the ship, but we will not make any promises about this. Of course, we knew before we began the project that 'BT' would be a perfect fit for CFS3, but the cold, hard, economic facts are that the civil version of FS is much more popular and has the potential for making the most money for the museum. As much as we love what we do, and would like to grant everyone's wishes, supporting MAAM is the main object of the exercise. March 6, 200323 yr Bill, Conversion to CFS3 is easier than you may think. The model file will need the gunner stations made as virtual cockpits. The B25 has less gunner stations to worry about, unlike the B-17 that I am working on. You already have all the textures that you need. The emitters for damage and the damage boxes also have to be added. All the gauges would have to be redone as I do not think either the dll or the xml gauges will work in CFS3. There is also a limited number of gauges so a lot of them will have to be just the gauge face without function. If you want, I have an e-mail address of a CFS3 person at Microsoft. E-mail me direct if interested as I cannot post that information.
March 6, 200323 yr Commercial Member Hi Herbie,Many thanks for the offer, but when I said we are talking to MS, I was not kidding. The guy you are talking about probably works for the guy I'm talking about. ;-) Just as you, I can't say more. I'd tell you, but then I'd have to....:-bang ;-) Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM - Rambow, Visser, Banting, and Younghttp://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/maamsim_logo.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org
