Briefing Time Fuel Gauges

Featured Replies

Hi guys,The official method isn't quite possible in the FS version of BT, because you don't have enough fingers! (read: mouse pointers...)The FS version is engage starter, prime, then mesh before the starter times out. Over the beta I had one failed start and that was because I had forgotten to set the magnetos for that engine (D'OH!) so it definately works... ;-)With respect to the fuel tank issue, what happens if you select another aircraft, set that to "all" tanks (e.g. the default Cessna or Mooney) and then switch to BT?I know I suggested something similar in another thread, but it is a faultfinding aid for those of us having problems replicating your undocumented creatures!(*)Ian P.:-halo(*- aka "Bugs". Sorry about the bad joke!)

Hi IanWhen I started this, I was just worrying about fuel gauges. Wow!It appears to me that as long as there is fuel in the center tank, the menu will read center. I tried switching from another aircraft with no luck. But, that's ok as long as we know why that happens.I knew I shouldn't have gotten into the starter problem, but I don't think I am the only one that had problems with this and found a way to make it work for me. My guess is you are right. The big thing is to get them started. Then you can fly the best sim around. In any event, thanks for your interest and help.RegardsBill

yea, sorry to "hijack" your thread! :)I'm off to try to start the engines right now. I hope I can get her to start.

One comment I have. I often forget to move the mixture throttles to full rich. I have a ch yoke and have them pulled back after I shut down. It might be something to check as I have done it a few times.Good Luck Andrew
